Renowned Chinese contemporary artist Fang Lijun will hold his solo exhibition titled ‘Art History with Fang Lijun’ at Beijing’s biggest private art museum, Beijing Minsheng Contemporary Art Museum.
This exhibition showcases Fang Lijun’s artistic career spanning three decades. Curated by Huang Liping, Fang Lijun’s iconic ‘Bald Heads’ series and his latest collections including installation and sculptures will be showcased. Exhibition period from 27th October – 29th November 2017.
Designed by studio pei zhu, beijing’sminsheng contemporary art museum exists in contrast to standardized ‘white cube’ galleries, configured as a diverse series of exhibition spaces. in reusing an existing building, the design team sought to incorporate the rough industrial characteristics of the former factory with exposed textures and surfaces.
