Picasso once said: “I spent my whole life learning how to draw like a child.” And in the works of artist Chen Si, we can also feel this childlike innocence and warmth. He is like a magician who created a fairy tale world, allowing us to temporarily escape the troubles of the adult world and get some healing and companionship.
Chen Si is a post-80s artist and advertiser born in Tianjin, as well as a new generation of illustrators in China. He once served as an art director at Ogilvy & Mather in Beijing, and then lived in New York and New Jersey for 3 years.
The “Big Artist” series of works uses cute styling methods to embellish some world-class works of art, allowing these famous paintings to return to our lives in a brand new way. With their cute, plump and round faces, small eyes, and cute expressions, each one is irresistible, and each one is the incarnation of the word “cute.”
