In just one more week, Chinese from all over the world will celebrate Year of the Rooster, beginning on January 27 with Chinese Lunar New Year’s Eve and ending on February 11 with the Lantern Festival. In tune with one of the most frenzied shopping seasons, contemporary artists and high-end labels have released Spring Festival-themed collections that are indicative of Chinese cultural elements and practices.

Gucci released a collection of several items for Chinese New Year, including a handbag, scarf, wallet, and sneakers.
2. Louis Vuitton- Jewelry & Small Leather Goods
The French luxury powerhouse is celebrating the Year of the Rooster with a pendant necklace and small leather goods featuring a rooster.
3. Tamen- ‘In the Wild’
Established Chinese contemporary artist duo’s phenomenal artwork features not just a rooster, but accompanied by all his animals friends too. Formed since 2003, Tamen consists of Lai Shengyu and Yang Xiaogang. Sharing a canvas and employing a collaborative painting technique, whereby each artist takes his turn to express opinion through figurative imagery, Tamen’s pictorial dialogues are the antithesis to individual “self” expression in artwork.

Talented emerging Chinese contemporary artist Wan Yi’s artworks feature dream-like, poetic themes relatable to our daily lives. Wan Yi has won several acclaimed art awards since her debut in the art scene and 2017 foresees her greater potential in the global market.
